Automatic Rotary Ampoule & Screw Capping Machine cGMP Model

The Ampoule rotary washing machine is designed to wash both internal and external surfaces of Ampoule at a rated speed of 120/300 per minute for 2ml to 100 ml Ampoule.

Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine Process

A. Infeed system
  • Ampoule s are directly fed into infeed hopper.
  • Hopper can accommodate 300mm width tray size.
  • From infeed hopper, Ampoule s are transferred to a feed screw through conveyor.
  • Ampoule s are then singled out using a feed screw.
  • Ampoule s are fed into the infeed star wheel through feed screw.
  • Ampoule s are then delivered to a revolving conveying system consisting of “V”-grippers.
  • A gripper engages individual positioned Ampoule s at their necks.
  • The Ampoule s are subsequently inverted to 180 degrees by a cam before the washing process starts.
B. Washing section
  • Inverted (upside down) Ampoule s are processed through various washing cycles.
  • The rotating drum on which grippers are mounted move at a uniform speed. Depending upon the washing cycle, the cleaning media is jetted intermittently on to the Ampoule s.
  • At the individual stations, spray needles travel in synchronism with Ampoule s and enter the Ampoule s with orifices exactly centered.
  • The spray needles follow the continuously moving grippers from the start to the finish of a working station and then retract.
C. Outfeed System
  • After washing cycle, the washed Ampoule s are re-inverted to their original position and then transferred on to the outfeed star wheel and carried by feed screw to the down line tunnel in a single line

FAQS on Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machines

The Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine is a sophisticated device engineered by Parth Engineers & Consultant specifically for cleaning ampoules in pharmaceutical manufacturing. This machine ensures that ampoules are meticulously cleaned, both internally and externally, before they are used to store medications. It operates at high capacities, capable of handling from 120 to 300 ampoules per minute, accommodating sizes from 2ml to 100ml.

The washing process of the Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine is designed to be thorough and efficient. Ampoules are first fed into the machine via an infeed system, where they are aligned and held by grippers. They are then inverted and passed through various washing stations. Each station employs spray needles that inject cleaning media such as water for injection (WFI) and air to ensure all internal and external surfaces are cleaned. The ampoules are then re-inverted and organized for further processing.

The infeed system of the Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine includes several key components:
  1. Infeed Hopper: Ampoules are loaded into this hopper, which can accommodate a tray size of up to 300mm in width.
  2. Feed Screw and Conveyor: These elements transfer ampoules from the hopper, aligning them for entry into the washing system.
  3. Infeed Star Wheel: This component positions the ampoules into the grippers of the conveying system, ensuring they are held securely for the washing process.

The machine features multiple specialized stations designed to optimize the cleaning process:
  • Spray Stations: These stations use spray needles that are synchronized with the movement of the ampoules, providing targeted cleaning with WFI and purified water.
  • Blow-dry Stations: Compressed air is used to dry the ampoules after washing, ensuring they are free of any residual moisture.
  • Continuous Rotary System: This ensures a smooth and continuous handling of ampoules through the machine, minimizing the risk of breakage or contamination.

The Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine comes in two models:
  • Model PAFS-120: Offers an optimum output of 120 ampoules per minute and is equipped with six heads.
  • Model PAFS-300: Offers an optimum output of 300 ampoules per minute and is equipped with eight heads. Both models require a power supply of 230V and have dimensions of 3200mm in length, 2000mm in width, and 1400mm in height. These specifications make the machine suitable for high-volume pharmaceutical production environments.

To operate efficiently, the Automatic Rotary Ampoule Washing Machine requires certain utilities:
  • Electric Power: It consumes 7 kW of power on a 3-phase, 240/415V, 50 Hz supply.
  • Purified Water: Consumes about 150 liters per hour at a pressure of 2.5-3 kg/cm².
  • Compressed Air: Uses about 15m³ per hour at a pressure of 3-4 kg/cm².
  • WFI Consumption: Utilizes about 100 liters per hour at a pressure of 2.5-3 kg/cm². These requirements ensure that the machine operates at peak performance, providing consistent and reliable cleaning of ampoules in a pharmaceutical setting.
